Groysman said that the draft decentralization amendments into the Constitution are planned to be considered during next plenary week. "Next plenary week, it is planned to hold first voting for sending [the amendments] for consideration by the Constitutional Court. In August, it is planned to adopt the constitutional amendments and their final text will have to be adopted with 226 votes. The high noon is September — 300 votes of people's deputies [will have to be given in support]," the Head of the Verkhovna Rada said.
Groysman characterized the introduction of amendments into the Basic Law elaborated by the Constitutional Commission as "quality project that envisions full decentralization of power and transfer of authorities to the local level."
The Head of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the draft amendments received approval of the Venice Commission and the President of Ukraine has submitted them for the consideration by the Verkhovna Rada.
